Branson is the undisputed “live music show capital of the world” with over 100 live shows performing daily! Branson is host to three beautiful lakes, 12 championship golf courses, an international award-winning theme park, dozens of museums and attractions and a historical downtown district. Our focus for this tour to Branson will be the beautiful and entertaining Christmas music shows. During this wonderful time of the year, the hotels, theatres and townspeople all come together to produce the Branson Area Festival of Lights and Christmas Celebration.

Prior to our arrival in Branson, we will enjoy a relaxing evening at the Drury Inn in Collinsville, Illinois where we can enjoy their famous “Kick Back” reception with a light supper. The evening will be on our own so we can enjoy the many amenities of the hotel.

Prior to our arrival in Branson we will enjoy a lunch stop at Lambert’s Café in Springfield, which is an attraction in itself. Lambert’s is known as the “Home of the Throwed Rolls,” famous for its homestyle cooking, “pass arounds,” and “throwed” dinner rolls.

The shows we will see in Branson are a mix of traditional country music, down home entertainment with new and dynamic musical numbers, and unforgettable dance.

Dixie Stampede Christmas Dinner Show at the Dixie Stampede is a unique dinner experience. Celebrate a Christmas tradition as Dixie transforms into a holiday celebration including a live nativity, with three kings atop camels, holiday music, a visit from Santa and a four-course yuletide feast. Presenting the bright musical fantasy, The Magic of Toys, this performance is highlighted by a stunning aerial display and set to the unforgettable music of the Nutcracker.

Long before Highway 76 became America’s lighted boulevard of family entertainment and long before Branson became known as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” there were the Presleys. They were an Ozark family who played the underground stages of the Missouri hills. The Presleys left the caves and bought themselves a piece of land out on an isolated two-lane stretch of asphalt just outside of town. It was Branson’s original country music theatre. The Presleys were a smash hit. To this day, with four generations of Presleys, they continue to perform the country and gospel music they have all grown up with and loved.

We will join the cast at the Clay Cooper Theatre for the #1 Hits of the 60’s (and 50’s too!) Christmas Show which is a non-stop, high-energy party that takes us back to the days of the British Invasion, Motown, California Surfing, and the Age of Aquarius with music, dance, and a very special tribute to our veterans. Add in your favorite Christmas songs and it will be a fun holiday experience for everyone!

The Hughes Brothers Christmas Show will transport us to a Christmas wonderland filled with the season’s best vocal harmonies, exciting dances, and inspiring instrumentals, with an amazing combination of charisma and light-hearted humor. Along with all the festive surprises and treasured family traditions, we’ll see Santa in a new light when he explains the symbols of Christmas in the most moving Christmas presentation.

Miracle of Christmas is the touching story being told at the wonderful Sight and Sound Theatre. This is a story of kings, angels, and a simple, faithful couple used by God. We will follow the journey of Mary and Joseph and witness the miraculous birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. This production features over 45 actors, numerous live animals, and elaborate sets and costumes. Angels will fly over the audience from a 45-foot high grid above the stage. This holiday season the Sight and Sound is extending the Christmas experience to their lobby with a live high-energy and heartwarming performance that sparkles with all our favorite Christmas carols, lavish Victorian costumes and a 100% chance of snow!

It’s Time to Make America Laugh Again! when Yakov Smirnoff, the famous Russian comedian, returns to Branson from his world wide tour. Yakov delivers huge laughs and funny lines while sharing unique insights into life in these United States as he goes from “Red to Redneck.” You’ll feel like standing and cheering for the red, white and blue! This show will even include a celebration of New Year’s Eve – Russian style.

The Dutton Family Christmas Show is a fun-filled performance to highlight our last night in Branson. The Dutton Family is an international touring and recording family who perform bluegrass to classical music and everything in between. With 31 years of experience and just about as many kids between them all, they rock the stage with a variety of genres.

Our last night away from home will be at the Lakeside Hotel and Casino in Osceola, Iowa. There will be a delicious buffet included this evening. If the slots or tables are not of interest to you, the indoor pool and hot tub are always inviting.
Christmas has a very special meaning for all of us. It is a holiday built around the concept of family. What began with Mary and Joseph and the infant Jesus in the manger – the sentiments of togetherness and love – has spread over the centuries to millions of homes. The families in Branson certainly convey that concept of family togetherness and love.
