Black Box Theater at the Ames Center

A show, cooked up by the creators of the popular hit musical Church basement Ladies, The Looney Lutherans in “Livin’ La Vida Lutheran,” is about three wacky gals who promote their new (fictional) cookbook with the use of music, comedy, audience interaction and a bit of wisdom for living a healthy life, the Lutheran Way! But you don’t have to be Lutheran to love these ladies. This variety show features songs with inspired and comical improvising that will have you smiling and laughing the entire afternoon.

The Black Box Theatre at the Ames Center is an intimate 150 seat theatre with comfortable and roomy seating. The lobby is two stories tall, all glass, with a sweeping view of Nicollet Commons Park, the Minnesota River Valley, and the Minnesota Skyline. In addition to the theatres the center has a 2,000 sq. ft. art gallery that we are free to visit as we wait for our performance to begin.

Prior to the performance we will enjoy a delicious lunch specially prepared with the Church Basement Ladies in mind.

Tour includes: Deluxe motorcoach transportation, lunch and reserved seating for “Livin’ La Vida Lutheran.”
