Clauson’s Barn Theatre
Christmas on the Farm is filled with holiday music sure to put you in the Christmas spirit! The Clauson family with their banjos, guitars, pianos, fiddles, drums, musical saw, steel guitar, string bass, accordion and exceptional voices has found the perfect blend of great music, exciting routines, hilarious comedy and fabulous costuming to make their Christmas show a very memorable experience.
We will enjoy a delectable dinner served buffet style prior to the show that is prepared in their full kitchen located in the lower level of the barn.
The Clausons purchased the farm in 1991 which included the house that had been vacant for many years. The barn, now home to their music show was built between 1890 and 1891. When you visit you can see the year 1891 on an interior wall where it was originally stamped. The original character of the barn remains, but skillful removal of posts and beams makes every seat in the theatre a great one. The barn is handicapped accessible and both heated and air conditioned for the comfort of their guests.
In the lower level there is an antique milking parlor exhibit complete with stanchions and names of memorable cows. The barn also contains a gift shoppe. The Milk House, set right next to the barn, provides for yet another shopping stop. Adorned with seasonal items, the restored Milk House is also an interesting place to visit.
