Come join us for a relaxing carriage ride, a delicious dinner and a rousing lumberjack show in beautiful Wisconsin Dells. The best of the attractions aside from a waterpark in the Waterpark Capital of the World.
At Lost Canyon we will enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride through a magnificent mile of cliff-walled gorges. The trip will begin at the south shore of Lake Delton. It was in 1956 that Dr. Ebert started the horse-drawn wagon tours through Lost Canyon, the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin. In 1967, the Kissack families took over the business and still operate it today, doing their part to maintain this natural treasure. In some of the deeper parts, the sheer rock and sandstone walls have not felt the touch of sun in more than 50,000 years.
Lunch will be at Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty. This authentic log beam built restaurant has been in business since 1958. The atmosphere of the ole time 1890’s logging camps starts right from the parking lot where a giant, wooden lumberjack sign welcomes us in the front door. We can browse the gift shop as we make our way to the dining room. Artifacts fixtures, tools, and historical logging photos adorn three golden pine dining rooms. This family-style, all-you-can-eat-meal of pot roast and chicken comes with all the fixings and delicious Paul Bunyan bread.
Following lunch, we will walk across the parking lot to The Dells Lumberjack Show. This show offers us and all spectators a unique blend of Wisconsin Dells lumbering history, a world class competition and plenty of hilarious comedy. We will watch lumberjacks chopping, cross-cut sawing, speed climbing, logrolling, throwing axes, canoe jousting and boom running. Twelve events in all will be enjoyed as the lumberjacks perform while we watch from the covered stands.
The combination of history and excitement on this tour will offer a variety of excitement for men, women and children. Everyone has a great time in Wisconsin Dells!
