Run For Your Wife is a fast-paced, outrageous comedy about a cab driver who lives a very ordinary life, with the exception that he has two wives! Complications pile upon hilarious complications as the cabby tries to keep his double life from exploding. This British farce had audiences rolling in the aisles in London and New York! A taxi driver gets away with having two wives in different areas because of his irregular working schedule. Until????
Trouble brews when John Smith is mugged and ends up in the hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing both the Streatham and Wimbledon police to investigate the case.
Having upset his careful schedule, Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in his attempts to explain himself to his two wives and two suspicious police officers, with help from his lazy lay-about neighbor upstairs in Wimbledon. This performance was written by Ray Cooney and first seen in 1983. It is virtually continuous laughter and should run for life!
