This exciting tour to the beautiful Ozarks is sure to be the highlight of your summer. There is something about the Ozarks that has appeal to the nature lover and adventurer in everyone. The area has never ceased to be a natural wonder, mesmerizing travelers from around the world.

Our travels on Monday take us to the St. Louis area for our overnight accommodations.

On Tuesday, we will enjoy the magnificent Fantastic Caverns, an underground world in its natural splendor. The Fantastic Caverns is an American ride-through cave which lies beneath the rolling Ozark hills. The cave was discovered in 1862 but first explored in 1867 by twelve women from Springfield who answered a newspaper ad seeking explorers. Their names remain on the cave wall today. Those first explorers had to use ropes and ladders to enter the then uncharted cave. Access to Fantastic Caverns is far easier today. Jeep-drawn trams carry visitors on the one-mile tour. While viewing the colorful formations along the well-lighted tour route, we’ll learn about the relationship between cave life, groundwater and people. In the afternoon we will travel the short distance to Springfield and tour The Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium. This world class aquarium features 1.5 million gallons of freshwater and saltwater habitats teeming with 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds. We will encounter over 800 species of sharks, rays, jellies, eels, sport fish and more. Through thoroughly immersing environments and vibrant and exciting live animal habitats we are reminded of the beauty of wildlife and celebrate the critical role responsible hunting and fishing play in conserving the great outdoors. This attraction is so much more than a museum or an aquarium! We travel from Springfield to Branson for an exciting evening with The Dutton Family. This award winning family performs country to bluegrass to classical music and everything in between.

Wednesday is going to be another day of fun adventures. As we transfer to comfortable, open-air trams we will explore the beauty of Dogwood Canyon. We will wind through the canyon floor, past towering bluffs and waterfalls, crossing creek beds and stone bridges, and splash though spring-fed waters, into Arkansas where herds of bison, elk, white tail deer and longhorn cattle roam the upper reaches of the canyon. We will enjoy a picnic lunch as we continue to enjoy the beauty of the canyon. The afternoon finds us at the Curling Vine Winery, with a variety of wines and non-alcoholic juices, for a tour and tasting before we head back to our hotel in Branson. We will have a short time to freshen up before dinner and our evening entertainment at Presley’s Country Jubilee. The Presley family has been entertaining people in Branson for over 50 years with a one-of-a-kind mix of country, gospel, bluegrass and hilarious comedy.

As we leave Branson on Thursday and begin our travels back towards Wisconsin, we will enjoy a relaxing evening at the Lakeside Hotel and Casino in Osceola, Iowa where the delicious dinner buffet is included. If the slots or tables are not to your liking, the indoor pool and hot tub are always inviting.

The remainder of our ride on Friday will give us time to relax and reflect on our amazing adventures, the great memories we’ve made and wonderful friendships we’ve begun.
