Warrens Cranberry Festival
Many people know that the Warrens Cranberry Festival is a very large festival. What many don’t know is that the festival is a nonprofit organization that solely benefits the community of Warrens. The mission is to “Promote the common good and general welfare of the community of Warrens, including holding an annual festival and raising funds to be used exclusively for civic betterments and social improvements in the Warrens community.”
Warrens Cranberry Festival has given over $2 million in donations which have benefited several community organizations, including area schools, the local fire department and the Warrens Lions Club. The festival also has its own scholarship fund for college freshmen.
2019 marks the festival’s 47th year. Since the first festival in 1973, attendance has grown from 3,500 to over 110,000!
The Warrens Cranberry Festival boasts over 850 arts and crafts booths, 350 flea market and antique booths, and 100 farmers market vendors. If you get hungry doing all that shopping, head over to one of the 100 food vendors for some tasty treats. The festival features over 3 miles of shopping. There is plenty of room in the luggage bays of the motorcoach for your purchases.
There are Cranberry Marsh Tours available for guests to sign up upon arrival in Warrens. For $6.00, you can catch a glimpse of a working cranberry marsh and learn about Wisconsin’s cranberry industry. These tours are very popular, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tours leave every 15 minutes and the marsh tours last about one hour. Tickets also include a tour of the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center on Main Street. These tickets are not included in the cost of this tour.
